**Effective date:** 9 July 2026

You can delete your HIIT Fitness account, and all data associated with it, at any time.

## In the app (fastest)

1. Open the HIIT Fitness app.
2. Tap the **avatar** in the top-right of the Home screen.
3. Go to **Settings → Delete account**.
4. Confirm.

Your account and all associated data are permanently deleted within 7 days.

## By email (if you can't access the app)

Email us at **[hiit.co.uk@gmail.com](mailto:hiit.co.uk@gmail.com)** from the email address on your account. Use the subject line:

> **Account deletion request**

Include:
- The email address on the account you want deleted
- A short confirmation, e.g. "I confirm I want my HIIT Fitness account and all associated data deleted."

We reply within 5 working days and complete the deletion within a further 7 days.

## What we delete

Everything associated with your account, including:

- Your profile (display name, avatar, preferences)
- All workouts, activity logs, GPS routes, personal bests
- All meal logs, nutrition data, and body-composition history
- All community posts, comments, direct messages, and reactions
- All health data we've received from your wearables or Apple Health / Google Fit
- Your notification preferences and push notification tokens
- All AI coach conversation history

## What we keep, and why

We retain minimal information required by law and to protect the service:

- **Aggregated, anonymised analytics** — e.g. "how many workouts were completed on 5 July 2026 across all users" — this is not linked to you.
- **Security logs** — hashed identifiers we use to defend against fraud and abuse; kept for up to 12 months.
- **Legal / accounting records** — where mandated by UK law.

None of the retained information can be used to identify you personally.

## Third-party services

Deleting your HIIT Fitness account:

- **Does not** delete the data still held by third-party services you connected — Apple Health, Google Fit, Health Connect, Garmin Connect, and similar. Please delete data in those services directly if you also want it removed there.
- **Does** revoke our access to those services going forward — new data stops flowing to us immediately.
